Is the MC service included in the price?
We include the MC service in our Premier package option.
Do you travel?
We are happy to travel anywhere you need a DJ. We charge a small fee per Km for functions outside of Albury/Wodonga. Accommodation will need to be supplied for functions over 150km from Albury.
How much is the deposit and how do I pay?
The deposit amount is $500. You can pay using internet banking, deposit at Hume Building Society Branches, cheque or at our office by appointment. These details are located on the bottom of the quote.
When is the final payment due?
The final payment is due 14 days prior to the function. This saves you dealing with payments at the function and allows you to relax without worrying about money.
Do you take requests?
Our DJs are always happy to take requests on the night, we can place request cards on tables and encourage requests on the microphone. We believe in playing as many requests as possible to ensure everyone has a great time and hears the music they love.
Can I choose what is played? How many songs do you have?
You can choose as much or as little of the music as you like. You can choose the style of music (etc 70’s, 80’s, country or top 40), your favourite artists or songs and songs not to be played. All this can be done with our online music database or in person. If you would like us to choose all the music we can do that as well. We have a collection of over 10,000 songs to ensure we have music to cater for all crowds.
How will the DJ dress?
The DJ will dress to suit the occasion. For weddings this includes a shirt, tie and suit, and for general functions dress pants and a dress shirt. If you have a theme night we will dress to suit your theme if possible.
Do you have client testimonials?
We have a number of client testimonials under our weddings section. These are comments from past clients that have wanted to share their experiences with you. We also post regular feedback on Facebook.
Do you have back up equipment and a backup DJ available?
Yes, we have a set of backup equipment available so that in the unlikely event of equipment failure we can have it changed ASAP. We use the highest quality equipment available to ensure this does not happen. We never over book and have a DJ on standby every weekend in the event something went wrong.
Can we add extra time on the night?
Yes, if you need more time you can pay the DJ the extra hourly charge on the night. Generally the latest we play is 1am unless previously arranged.
Can you customise the lighting?
Yes, in many cases we can customise lighting to suit your needs. This includes specific lighting to suit your coloured theme, a mirror ball and effects lighting.
Can I request a DJ?
If a DJ is available you can request a DJ of your choice. Unless specified we normally select a DJ that suits your taste in music, which we identify from your online planning forms. We can also supply a DJ that suits a specific genre of music if you need a DJ who is familiar with country, alternative, top 40 or group songs.
Do I have to meet with the DJ before the function?
No. If you are unable to meet with your DJ before your wedding we have online planning tools that allow you to plan everything online and choose the music you want played. A face to face meeting is included with every package if needed.
What training and experience do the DJs have?
All our DJs are professional trained in both DJ entertainment and public speaking / MC duties. Our wedding DJs have been fully trained in the formalities and responsibilities associated with wedding entertainment and have been providing entertainment during the peak wedding season most weekends for multiple years. We regularly conduct further training and work to achieve the highest standards of entertainment available. This includes surveying each client on the DJs performance after the event to continually improve. We also have a list of standards and procedures that every DJ meets to ensure everything runs smoothly and you can relax knowing we will do our job.
We also have other DJs who are trained and specialise in other areas such as school/youth discos, general functions and trivia.
Do we need to provide a meal for the DJ?
It is standard for most weddings to provide the DJ with a main meal. Most function centres provide a cheaper entertainers meal. This is because the DJ does not take breaks and has no chance to leave for a meal. With setup, pack up and travel, the DJ often works over 8 hours straight. For general functions with a less time scale the DJ generally eats prior to the function.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes. We carry public liability insurance which is now required at many venues. This ensures if something went wrong, you are not liable.
